When can I modify snipes that I’ve entered?

You cannot add, modify, or cancel a snipe if there is less than 5 minutes left until the auction ends. When the auction is about to end, you may notice that a lock will replace the Cancel and Modify links. In the event that you have not refreshed the page, and the Cancel and Modify links still exist for a snipe that is ending in less than 5 minutes, any changes made will not adhere. For reliability and performance, our bidding system prepares your snipes in advance, so you must make your changes before this time.

How come when I click on "Snipe It Now!" nothing happens?

Due to all the security issues lately, many programs have beefed up security. This often comes at a price to convenience. Many of these programs, operating systems, add-in toolbars and browsers have window popup blocking enabled by default.

If you‘ve got anti -virus, -ad, -popup software running, disable that and see if that helps. If it does, then turn them back on one by one until you find the one that doesn‘t like us. See about adding us to an accepted list.

Also, if you‘ve downloaded XP SP2, that also has security measures that can interfere with us. You‘ll need to add us to the accepted list.
Start with any popup window blockers first.

What is a "Max Bid"?

Your maximum bid is the maximum amount you would pay to win the auction. It is in the currency of the auction. If the seller is accepting US dollars, then a max bid for 125.75 will be for 125 US dollars and 75 cents. And if a seller is accepting Euros, then a max bid of 75 will be for 75 Euros. There is no need to make conversions. Simply enter your maximum bid in the currency that is being accepted.

Additionally, Auction Sniper follows eBay rules. So while we send eBay your maximum bid, you will only pay the next highest bid above the current minimum.

Why isn't the price on My Snipes current?

We check periodically, with increasing frequency towards auction‘s end; you probably just caught us between checks. But you can see the current price anytime without going to the auction, by clicking on the Update Prices above your first snipe, next to Snipe Calendar.

Why was my snipe 30 minutes early (Friday AM maintenance)?

Every Thursday we perform our weekly site maintenance.  We usually start the maintenance around 11p.m. Pacific time and it lasts for approximately two hours.  Any snipes scheduled to be placed during our expected downtime will be placed before we begin maintenance at 11p.m. Pacific time.
